On the A4 and A5, close to Amsterdam
Haarlemmermeer is a reclaimed polder that has largely been built up over the past few decades. Hoofddorp is its main town, with Nieuw-Vennep the second. It is a quick drive from Amsterdam Nieuw-West via the A4 or A5, and since we work in and around Amsterdam every day, Hoofddorp fits easily into our schedule.

Family neighbourhoods with lots of gardens
Much of Hoofddorp consists of neighbourhoods built from the 1980s and 1990s onwards, such as Toolenburg, Overbos, Bornholm and Floriande. They are spacious, with terraced and semi-detached houses and plenty of water. Getsewoud in Nieuw-Vennep is a newer example.
Here the back garden is usually where the job is. An old wooden screen needs replacing, the garden borders a canal or green strip, or the back gate no longer closes properly. Galvanised and powder coated steel lasts for years without yearly treatment.
Near the town centre and the station you find more apartment blocks, with questions about balcony railings, glass balustrades on terraces and privacy screens. If your building has a VvE (homeowners’ association), agree the design with them first. Businesses on the many industrial estates also ask us for perimeter fencing, gates and covered bicycle shelters.

- A privacy screen from the PS range, or S02 louvres, to shield your patio.
- A steel garden gate with a lock, matched to the fence.
- A glass balustrade such as G01 with steel posts or G03 with a stainless steel floor channel.
Wind across the open polder can be strong, so we pay close attention to fixings when we survey. Balustrades are always at least 100 cm high, or 120 cm for drops of 13 metres or more.
Delivery, installation and payment
Streets are wide and parking is rarely a problem. Fencing for terraced houses usually goes through the back path. Delivery is free with no minimum order, and you choose between having us install it or delivery only. If we install, we survey first. Lead time is 6 to 8 weeks, or 8 to 10 in July to September. Payment is in full upfront on invoice, or 70% upfront and 30% after installation.

Yes, throughout the municipality, and delivery is free everywhere.
My garden in Floriande backs onto water. Can the fence run to the edge?
Often it can. We set posts in the ground and check the bank during the survey. Ask the municipality if building up to the water is allowed.
Do you supply fencing for business premises in Hoofddorp?
